√2( cos π/4 cos x - sin π/4 sin x) using formula cos(a+b) = cos a cos b - sina sin b
√2( 1/√2 cos x - 1/√2 sin x)
as cos π/4= sin π/4 = 1/√2
√2( 1/√2(cos x - sin x))
= cos x - sin x
Hope it helps!
