decided for them according to their ages as Rs. 100 X Age. The following information is given about
their ages.
Shivani is twice as old as Rekha and Vrinda is 9 years older than Rekha. Three years ago, Shivani
was nine years less than three times Rekha's present age. Using linear equation find their pocket

Answer:

let the present age of rekha be x

so shivani's present age = 2x

vrinda's age =x-9

shivanis age three years ago will be 3x-9

so a. t. q

2x-3(present age of shivani minus three) =3x-9

2x-3=3x-9

-3+9=3x-2x

6=x

therefore rekha'age=6

so her pocket money =6*100=600

shivani's age =2x=2*6=12

her pocket money =12*100=1200

vrinda's age =x +9=6+9=15

so her pocket money =15*100=1500
