24 is divided into two parts such that 7 times the first part added to 5 times the second part mark marks 146 find each part?

Let the parts be a and b

According to first condition

=> a + b = 24

=> 5a + 5b = 120 ---------(1)


According to second condition

=> 7a + 5b = 146 ---------(2)


On subtracting equation 1 from 2, we get

2a = 26

a = 13


First part = 13

Second part = 11
