24 men complete a work in 16 days and 32 women complete it in 24 days. 16 men and 8 women started that work and worked for 12 days. If the remaining work is to be completed in 4 days, the number of men to be further added to the existing workforce is

Let the number of men be X and the number of women be y

First divide 24 by 16 which is equals to 3

now divide 32 by 24 which is equals to 1. 33.

By condition 16 X + 12 Y=12......eq.1

X+Y=4.....eq.2

Multiply equation 2 by 12 which is equals to 12 x + 12 Y=48...eq.3

Subtract equation 3 from 1

   12X+12Y=48

-X=36÷4

X=-9

Put x is equals to minus 9 in equation 2

X + Y=4

-9+Y=4

Y=4+9

Y=13
