Given: Ratio of storybooks to magazines = 4 : 3

           Number of magazines in the library = 45

To Find: Number of storybooks present in the library.

Solution:

Let the common factor between the number of storybooks and magazines be x.

∴ Total number of storybooks = 4x

∴ Total number of magazines = 3x

According to the question,

3x = 45

⇒ x = 15

∴ Total number of storybooks= 4x

                                                 = (4 × 15)

                                                 = 60

Answer: The library has 60 storybooks.
