The last section is the tracing entry.

  • The term CCC refers to n Classified Catalogue Code.
  • it should have the dimensions as a length of 12.5 cm x 7.5 cm in breadth.
  • It has six sections namely -

1. Leading Section,

2. Heading Section,

3. Title Section,

4. Note Section,

5. Accession Number Section and

6. Tracing Section.

  • On the reverse of the main entry card is a specific section for tracing.
  • This segment is separated into two equal imaginary lines (vertically).
  • They are referred to as the left and right part. Upper Part, Middle Part, and Lower Part are the names of the three imaginary lines that split the Right Part again (horizontally).
