Answer:

The answer is 48 ans 144 number of possible ways.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have three couples say C1, C2, and C3 which means we have three units.

Now, there2! arrangement of each couple among themselves.

The number of ways in which spouse sit next to each other.

= 3! x 2! x 2! x 2!

= 6 x 2 x 2 x 2

= 48

Now we want three ladies to sit together so we will tie them together. Thus we have 4 units now that is 3 men + ladies tied together.

Also, there will be 3! possible arrangements of ladies among themselves.

The number of possible ways in which ladies sit together.

= 4! x 3!

= 24 x 6

= 144
