According to the question,
5x - 3x = 18
2x = 18
x = 18/2

➝ The numbers are 45 & 27 .
- Two numbers are in ratio 5:3.
- Both number differ by 18.
- The number obtained .
Let the numbers in form of x
- The first number = 5x
- The second number = 3x
These numbers are differ by 18 . So equation obtained,
➝ 5x - 3x = 18
➝ 2x = 18
➝ x =
➝ x = 9
So, obtain our number putting value of x,
- The first number = 5x = 5 × 9 = 45
- The second number = 3x = 3 × 9 = 27
