A flat steel with a load F = 100 kNer attached to two flat steels that are firmly anchored in a wall. The
flat steels have the same width b = 100 mm, but the thickness is different. Flat steel A has a thickness
of t = 15 mm and flat steels B have a thickness of t1 = 7 mm.
The diameter of the nails is dn = 16 mm.
Calculate:
a) The shear stresses in the nails.
b) The hole pressure stresses between flat steel A and the nails and the hole pressure stresses
between flat steel B and the nails.
c) Effective anchoring length Lefffor the flat steels. Also calculate the stress in the anchorage in flat
steel A and flat steel B.
d) Maximum tensile stress in the flat steel at the three cuts. Also write in which flat steel and section
this tension occ
