Assume that amount of work done is 1 unit

so \:  \frac{1}{12}  \\ b \: \: has \: 60\% \: more \: than \: a \\ 60\% \: of \:  \frac{1}{12}  \: will \: be \:  \frac{1}{20}  \\ so \:  \frac{1}{20}  +  \frac{1}{12}  =  \frac{1}{7.5}  \\

So 7.5 is the answer

Answer:

A can do work in 12 days

Time taken by A = 12 days

=> Work Done by A= 1/12

B is 60%more efficient

=>Work done by B is 60% more

work done by B is 160% more than A

=>Work Done by B =

 \frac{160}{100}  \times  \frac{1}{12}   \\  \frac{16}{10}  \times  \frac{1}{12 }

= 2/15

=>Time taken by B = 15/2 days

=7.5 days
