Given :- A company sells toy cars at Rs. 80 per car. The

cost of producing a car is Rs. 60. The fixed cost is

Rs. 4,000. The minimum number of cars that need

robe produced to avoid a loss is

A) 125

B) 140

C) 200

D) 20

Answer :-

Let su assume that, the number of minimum cars need to be produced is x .

so,

→ CP of 1 car = Rs.60

→ CP of x cars = 60 * x = Rs.60x

and,

→ SP of 1 car = Rs.80

→ SP of x cars = 80 * x = Rs.80x .

now, we know that,

  • Loss is occured when CP > SP .

then, in order to avoid loss SP > CP .

A/q,

→ CP + fixed price < SP .

→ 60x + 4000 < 80x

→ 4000 < 80x - 60x

→ 4000 < 20x

→ 200 < x .

therefore, The minimum number of cars that need

robe produced to avoid a loss is 200 .
