EVALUATION

(i) Since the point lies on axis

So ordinate = 0

So the coordinates of the point is of the form (x, 0)

Where x is a real number

(ii) Since the point lies on axis

So ordinate = 0

So the coordinates of the point is of the form (x, 0)

Where x is a real number

Now abscissa = 2

∴ x = 2

So the required coordinates = (2,0)
