615-6=609

963 - 6 = 957

So, the required number = HCF of 609 and 957

By resolving the required number into prime factors we get

609 = 3 ×7×29

957 = 3 × 11 × 29

Therefore, the HCF of 609 and

957 = 29 × 3 = 87
