Here AB = BC then /_A = /_C

/_A+/_B+/_C=180° (the sum of the three angles of a triangle is 180 degree)

/_A+80°+/_C =180°

/_A+/_C=180-80

/_A+/_C=100

so the answer is angle A=50°
