Answer: 5 men joined the group

Step-by-step explanation:

25 men in 17 days do 1/1 work

1 man in 25 * 17 days will do 1/1 work

25 men in 1 day will do 1/17 work,

therefore, 25 men in 5 days will do 5/17 work,

Remaining work after 5 days = 1 - 5/17 = 12/17

Now we know that 25 men can do 12/17 work in 12 days

Then 1 man will do 12/17 work in 25 * 12 days

Let's assume number of men to do 12/17 work in 10 days to be X.

Therefore X men  will do the 12/17 work in : 25*12/X days.

We assumed the days in which worked would be completed by X men to be 10.

Therefore, 25*12/X = 10

                =25*12 = 10X

                = 30

5 more men joined the group.

Hope this helps, this required quite the effort, marking it brainliest would encourage me a lot thanks!
