Given data : Perimeter of a square and circumference of a circle are equal. The area the circle is 616 cm.

To find : Area of the square ?

Solution :

Here, we know,

  • Area of square = ( side )²
  • Perimeter of square = 4 * side

Now, according to given,

→ Area of square = Circumference of circle

→ 4 * side = 616

→ side = 616/4

→ side = 154 cm

Now, by formula of the area of the square,

→ Area of square = ( side )²

→ Area of square = ( 154 )²

→ Area of square = 23716 cm²

Answer : Hence, area of square is 23716 cm².
