Answer:

mass of glucose in first solution = 500*40/100 = 200gm

now let water added = x litre and than glucose becomes 10%

so,

200/(500+x) = 1/10

2000 = 500+x

x = 1500

mass of glucose in 2nd solution = 200*20/100 = 40gm

again, let y litre of water added

it means ,

40/(200+y) = 1/10

400 = 200+y

y = 200

so,

(B) 200 & 1500 is our answer ....
