Answer:

Rainbow is a band of seven colours and is the spectrum of white light. It contains VIBGYOR colours.

It is formed due to refraction of white light comming from sun by the must droplets in atmosphere after rain which acts as prisms.

The light reflects off the inside of the droplet, separating into its component wavelengths--or colors. When light exits the droplet, it makes a rainbow.
