He is a very cleaver business man as he sell the villa to Mrs AL Smith for 3 hundred thousand francs and the he buy the villa from Juliette for 2 hundred thousand francs. He also earn a profit of 1 hundred thousand francs. This also shows that Gaston is a better business man tha Juliette. He also take the painting with him which belongs to Juliette for free.
