Answer:

24days

Step-by-step explanation:

n these type of problems, per person work/time/money etc has to be known to approach for solution. Given problem tells us that some men are digging a trench of “Cuboid” shape. That means everyone is contributing towards volume of sand removed to dig the trench and with that logic we may find out how much total volume of trench dig and how much one person can dig?

let us take the depth as x and the number of days be y

Amount of sand removed by 1 man in 18 days =((50∗35∗x)/250)=7x m³

Amount of sand removed by 1 man in 1 day=7x/18= 7x/18 m³/day

Amount of sand removed by 300 men in 1 day=  (7x/18) * 300= (7x/18)*300 m³/day

Amount of sand removed by 300 men in y days =(7x/18)*(300)*y m³/day

now the volume of sand removed will be equal to = 70*40*x

therefor

(7x/18)*(300)*y = 70*40*x

from here y comes out to be 24 days .

Hope you got it.

thanks.
