* he was borm on 15 oct 1931, at dhanukoshti, a temple town in rameshwaram, tamil nadu.
* he was born in a poor family
* he passed BSc. exam from St. Joseph College,thiruchirapalli
* he then joined madras institute of technology(mit) he then joined DRDO in 1958 and ISRO in 1963
* he is known as missile man of india as he has worked to make many of indian missiles like Prithvi, Trishul,Aakash,Agni etc.
* he became 11th pesident of india nd served from 2002 to 2007
* he was awarded bharat ratna in 1998, padma vibhushan in 1990 and padma bhushan in 1981
* he expired on monday 27 july,2015 due to heart attack when he was giving lecture at it college,shillong

He was the 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007. He was also know as missile man . He love to play sitar and many more or he spend his time by reading books in open areas.he born in poor family in Rameswaram , tamilnadu.
