given mass of solid acid = 1.25 g [ you did mistake in typing ]

Let molecular mass of acid is M.

for complete neutralisation,

equivalent of acid = equivalent of base

or, mass of acid/equivalent weight of acid = mass of base/equivalent weight of base

or, n-factor of acid × mole of acid = n-factor of base × mole of base

or, 2 × 1.25/M = 2 × 25/1000 litre × 0.25 molar

or, M = 1000 × 1.25/(25 × 0.25)

= 125000/(625) = 200 g/mol.

hence, molecular mass = 200 g/mol
