Answer:

given- 25th term I.e. (a+24d) =51

and a=3

to find- common difference (d)

a+24d=51

3+24d=51

24d=51-3

24d=48

d=48/24=2

d=w

Answer:

The Common difference of the AP is 2

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Arithmetic progression defined as  progression in which every term after the first is obtained by adding a constant value, called the common difference.
  • The sequence of the AP is given by

          a,a+d,a+2d,a+3d,.....      where a is first term and d is common

         difference

  • The nth term of AP is given by a_{n}=a+(n-1)d

Step 1 of 1:

  • The first term is 3
  • The 25th term is 51
  • Put these in the nth term formulae for 25 term ,

         a_{25}=a+(25-1)d\\51=3+24d\\24d=48\\d=\frac{48}{24}\\ d=2

Conclusion:

The common difference of AP is 2
