Given: Graphs x + y = 7 and x - y = 2.

To Find: Draw graph.

Solution:

For every line to be drawn in graph we need two points. So, in x + y = 7.

Put x = 0.

0 + y = 7

y = 7

First point is  (0, 7).

Put y = 0.

0 + x = 7

x = 7

Second point is  (7, 0).

In line x - y = 2.

Put x = 0.

0 - y = 2

y = -2

First point is  (0, -2).

Put y = 0.

0 + x = 2

x = 2

Second point is  (2, 0).

Now refer the picture for graph.

The red graph is of x + y = 7 and the blue one is for x - y = 2.
