area of rectangle = l x b

perimeter = 47m  and l = 10 m

2(l+b)=47m

2(10+b)=47m

20+2b=47m

2b=47-20m

2b=27m

b=27/2m

b=13.5 m

so area of rectangle ==> 13.5 x 10

==> 135m^{2}

hope u got ur answer..........

Correct Question :-

  • Find the area of a rectangle whose perimeter is 47 metre and length is 15 m.

Given :-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 47 m
  • Length of rectangle = 15 m

To Find :-

  • Area of rectangle = ?

Answer :-

Let Length be 'l' and Breadth be 'b'.

→ Perimeter = 2(l + b)

→ 47 = 2(15 + b)

→ 47 = 30 + 2b

→ 47 - 30 = 2b

→ 2b = 47 - 30

→ 2b = 17

→ b = 17 ÷ 2

b = 8.5 m

Hence, Breadth of rectangle is 8.5 m.

  • According to Question :

➻ Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

➻ Area of rectangle = 15 × 8.5

➻ Area of rectangle = 127.5 m²

Therefore,

  • Area of rectangle is 127.5
