Give information about the historical places given below: (A) Ahmedabad (B) Junagadh

(A) Ahmedabad

Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba lived for a long time at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. The most well-known historical site in Ahmedabad is this tranquil ashram, which is located on the banks of the Sabarmati River. It is frequently referred to as the Gandhi Ashram and occupies a 36-acre plot of land. The ashram was crucial to the liberation struggle in India. On March 12, 1930, Bapu led the Dandi March or Salt Satyagraha from this headquarters. Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, a museum located inside the ashram, houses relics from his life, such as his writing desk, a few of his personal letters and photographs, and a khadi kurta.

(B) Junagadh

One of Junagarh's historical sites, this fort is one of the city's older structures. The age of this fort is close to 23 centuries. In some areas of the fort, the walls reach a height of twenty metres. There allegedly used to be a moat in the fortifications that was 300 feet deep. Crocodiles were originally supposed to live in this moat. It was built to guard the fort. The fort features two main attractions. Cairo and Neelam are the two main attractions. Turks in India brought them, which were made in Cairo. The fort's caves and steps are both must-see attractions.
