so sum of these numbers are

x + (x+2) + (x+4) + (x+6) + + (x+8) = 340

5x + 20 = 340

5x = 340-20

5x = 320

x = 64

then, the next consecutive even numbers will be

(x+2)

(x+4)

(x+6)

(x+8)

Therefore,

we have five consecutive even numbers as,

x, (x+2), (x+4), (x+6), (x+8)

Now,

it is given that their sum is 340

Therefore,

x +(x+2)+ (x+4) +(x+6)+ (x+8) = 340

=> (x+x+x+x+x)+(2+4+6+8)= 340

=> 5x + 20 = 340

subtracting 20 on bith sides,

=> 5x +20 -20 = 340-20

=> 5x = 320

dividing both sides by 5,
