In Figure-3, A ABC and A XYZ are shown. If AB = 3 cm, BC = 6 cm,
AC = 2V3 cm, 2 A = 80°, Z B = 60°, XY = 413 cm, YZ = 12 cm and
XZ = 6 cm, then find the value of ZY.

Answer:

40

Step-by-step explanation:

since traingle is similar ..

AB= 2 XZ

BC= 2 YZ

AC= 2XY

THEREFORE

ANG. ABC= ANG.XZY=60

ANG.BAC=ANG.ZXY=80

Y= 180-(60+80)

=180-140

=40

∠Y = 40°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

In  ΔABC,

AB = 3 cm

BC = 6 cm,

AC = 2 cm

∠A = 80°

∠B = 60°

In ΔXYZ,

XY = 4√3 cm,

YZ = 12 cm

XZ = 6 cm

Since,

AB/XZ = AC/ XY = BC/YZ

3/6 = 2 cm/4√3 cm = 6/12

1/2 = 1/2 = 1/2

Thus, ΔABC ≈ ΔXYZ with SSS congruency.

Now, In ΔABC;

∠A + ∠B+ ∠C = 180°

80° + 60° + ∠C = 180°

∵ ∠C = 40°

Thus, ∠C = ∠Y = 40°          ( ∵ by CPCT)
