180-(40+56) ...=x.

2y+6=56 ...

AB = BD

so ang ACB = ang DCB = 40

In triangle BCD

x+56+40 = 180

x = 84

AC = CD

2y+6 = 56

y = 25

The two triangles are congruent by SAS postulate.
