A day that our nation remembers. We all must've know what happened on this day- i.e. our country got its own constituion and became a republic. Our constitution was originally formed on 26th November, 1949 but it came into action on 26 January. Know why? 26 January is a historic day. On this day in pre-independence era, first independence war was conducted where all the Indians, irrespective of caste, colour, or any other factors, fought as one against the British, yes, The British, who almost ended the communal harmony.
"We the people of India, have solemnly resolved to constitute Indka into a sovereign, socialist, democratic, republic and to secure to all its citizens..."
This is the first paragraph of our Preamble. It tells us that the people of India have solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign, socialist, democratic and republic. And most importantly, to secure its citizens. People may not remember the events of 26 Jan, 1930. This is a sad thing that many people don't know about the first independence war. Thousand of lives were taken, but thousands of hopes were risen. 26 Jan, the day when we got our constitution, the day when we settled our country, the day when we became like other countries. This day, has had a great importance in the great history of India.
