Solution:-

• Let the breadth be ' x '

Given ,

• Perimeter of rectangle is 26 cm²

• Length is 8 cm

Now ,

We have to find the breadth:-

$\longrightarrow\sf \: Perimeter_{ ( rectangle ) } = 2( l + b )$

$\longrightarrow\sf \: 26 = 2( 8 + b )$

$\longrightarrow\sf \: 26 = 16 + 2b$

$\longrightarrow\sf \: 2b = 26 - 16$

$\longrightarrow\sf \: 2b = 10$

$\longrightarrow\sf \: b = \cancel\dfrac { 10 } { 2 }$

$\longrightarrow\sf \: b = 5$

Hence ,

• Breadth of rectangle is 5 cm

=>26=2(8+b)
