annum, find the population of the city after two years.

Increases rate = 10%

now

population in first year = 4,00,000*10/100

= 40,000

so in 1 year population is = 4,00,000 + 40,000

= 4,40,000

now

population of 2nd year = 4,40,000*10/100

= 44,000

now total population = 4,40,000 + 44,000

= 4,84,000
