let cost of manufacturing of 1st saree be 2x

since profit made is 15% so profit .0.15×2x=0.3x

let cost of manufacturing of 2nd saree be 5x

since profit made is 18% so profit .0.18×5x=0.9x

total profit=0.3x+0.9x=1.2x=396,x=330

so cost of 1st saree=2x=2×330=660

so cost of 2nd saree=5x=5×330=1650
