a coastal plain is a low lying, flat piece of land next to the ocean.
The differences between Eastern and Western Coastal Plains are:
1. The Eastern Coastal plain lies along the east coast of India and is washed by the Bay of Bengal whereas the Western Coastal Plain lies along the west coast of India and is washed by The Arabian Sea.
2.Eastern Coastal Plain is broader than the West Coast plain.
3.
The Eastern Coastal plain receives comparatively low rainfall. But the Western Coastal plain receives heavy rainfall.
