SOLUTION

No. of red balls = 3

No. of black balls = 5

Total no. of balls = 5+3 = 8

(i) Probability of drawing red balls = No. of red balls/Total no. of balls = 3/8

(ii) Probability of drawing black balls = No. of black balls/Total no. of balls = 5/8

Answer:

Red balls=3

Black Balls=5

Probability of getting a red ball=No. of outcomes/Total No. of outcomes

=3/3+5=3/8

Probability of getting a black ball=No. of outcomes/Total No. of outcomes

=5/3+5=5/8
