27. A thief steals a car at 1.30 p.m. and drives it at 60 kmph. The theft is spotted
at 2 p.m. and the owner sets off in another car at 75 kmph. When will he
overtake the thief?​

Then distance covered by the thief in

x hrs = Distance covered by in :-

(x -  \frac{1}{2} )hrs

Hence,

 =  > 60 = 75(x -  \frac{1}{2} )

 =  > 15x =  \frac{75}{2}

x =  \frac{5}{2}  = 2.5hrs

Time = 3p.m. will be overtaken .
