Answer:

197.75 m

Step-by-step explanation:

lenght of wire sold = 4375cm + 15850cm

                               = 20225 cm

lenght of wire left = 400m - 202.25m

                             = 197.75 m

Given:-

  • Length of wire = 400 metres
  • Wire solded to first costomer = 43 m 75 cm
  • Wire solded to second costomer = 158 m 50 cm

To find:-

  • Length of wire let with him.

Solution:-

Total length of wire bought by electrician = 500 m = 400 × 100 cm = 40000 cm

[ Since 1m = 100 cm ]

  • Length of wire sold to first costomer = 43 m 75 cm = 4375cm
  • Length of wire sold to first costomer = 158 m 50 cm = 15850cm

Therefore,

★ Total length of wire sold by costomer = 4375 cm + 15850 cm = 20225 cm

★ Length of wire left with him = (Total length of wire - length of wire sold by him)

= 40000 - 20225 = 19775 cm

= 197 m 75 cm

\dag Hence, 195 m 75 cm of wire is left with him!
