Let the volume of the vessel be= V . Since the pressure is maintained at the same level, if on heating 1/3of the gas escapes means, 2/3 V- volume of the gas at 27°C(300K) will be equal to V- volume of the same gas at(TK) t°C, then

2/3 V/300= V/T

So T= 300 x3/2= 450K

t= (450–273)= 177°C.

Therefore on heating a gas from 27°C to 177°C, one third (1/3) of the gas present in the vessel will escape out of the vessel.

In short by increasing the temperature by 1.5- times on Kelvin scale, (from 300K) 1/3- of the gas in the vessel will escape out of the vessel.
