Shridharacharya Method

Shridharacharya method which is also called quadric formula is used to find out toughest factors of x in a quadratic polynomial.

• According to formula,

x = (- b +/- √D)/2a where D = b² - 4ac.

• In polynomial, 9x² - 9(a + b) + 2a² + 5ab + 2b²

  1. a = 9
  2. b = - 9(a + b)
  3. c = 2a² + 5ab + 2b²

• Since value will come in +/- which means that, factors obtained are distinct.

• Identities used :

  1. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²
  2. (a - b)² = a² - 2ab + b²
