Given : A figure showing Feasible solutions

Z = 3x - 4y

To Find :  Maximum value of Z

Solution:

(0 , 0) , ( 5 , 0) , ( 6 , 5)  , (6 , 8) , ( 4 , 10) , ( 0 , 8)

are feasible solution

find value of Z in each case

x       y            Z = 3x  - 4y

0       0           3(0) - 4(0) = 0

5       0           3(5) - 4(0) = 15

6       5           3(6) - 4(5) = - 2

6       8           3(6) - 4(8)  = -14

4       10          3(4) - 4(10) =  - 28

0       8           3(0) - 4(8)   = - 32

Maximum value is 15 which occurs at  ( 5 , 0)
