Bal Gangadhar Tilakwada, leader, teacher, lawyer and social reformer, died on the day the Non-cooperation movement was launched in 1920 (1st August 1920).

He was the first leader of Indian independence moment.

He is also known as ‘LokmanyaTilak’ which means ‘accepted by the people’. He was the father of Indian unrest.
