The given question is we have to find the missing number in a given series.

The given series is 28,38,49,? 70,77.

There are 6 terms in total, we have to find the missing term in the sequence which is in the fourth place.

The first term is given as 28 and the second term is 38.

The addition of the digits in the first term is

2 + 8 = 10

adding 10 to the 28, we get the second term

28 + 10 = 38

adding the digits in the number 38, we get

3 + 8 = 11 \\ 38 + 11 = 49

Therefore, the third term is 49.

adding digits in the third term, we get the answer as

4 + 9 = 13

now add 13 to the number 49 =

49 + 13 = 62

Add the digits in 62, the result is 8 . Then add 8 to the 62 we get the answer as 70.

again add digits in the 70, and we get 7+0=7.

add 7 to the same number as

70 + 7 = 77

Hence, based on our observation the answers obtained were 62.

Then the sequence will be

28,38,39,62,70,77.
