According to me, the correct question is:

28 60 48

5 6 7

14 39 27

7 ? 16

Now, we have to find out the missing term.

Consider the first sequence 28 60 48

We can see that  48-28=20  and  20\times 3 = 60

Similarly, consider the second sequence 5 6 7

W can see that  7-5=2 and  2\times 3=6

Now, consider the third sequence 14 39 27

We can see that  27-14=13 and  13 \times 3 =39

Now, Consider the fourth sequence 7 ? 16

Here also we will apply the same criteria.

 16-7=9 and now,  9 \times 3 =27 .

Therefore, 27 is the required answer.

The number is 27

Please re-check the question.

Given data:

28    60     48

5       6       7

14     39     27

7       ?        16

To find:

The number to be replaced in the '?' place.

Explanation:

The logic behind this reasoning question is:

The number in the second column is three times the difference between the numbers in the third and first columns.

i.e., middle number = 3 x (right number - left number)

In first row,

3 ( 48 - 28 ) = 3 (20) = 60   ------> Middle number

In second row,

3 ( 7 - 5 ) = 3 (2) = 6     ------> Middle number

In third row,

3 ( 27 - 14 ) = 3 (13) = 39     ------> Middle number

Similarly, the number to be found is:

3 ( 16 - 7 ) = 3 (9) = 27     ------> Middle number

Therefore, the number is 27
