28. A solid metallic sphere of diameter 28cm. is melted and recast
into a number of smaller cones each of diameter 7cm and
height 3cm Find the number of cones so formed.​

Answer: 672 cones

Diameter of solid metallic sphere = 28 cm

Radius of solid metallic sphere = 28/2 = 14 cm

To find the volume of the sphere = 4/3πr³

= 4/3*22/7*14*14*14 = volume of sphere = 11498.66 cu cm

diameter of cone = 14/3 cm  Radius of cone = 14/3 ÷ 2

Radius of cone = 7/3

Volume of the cone = 1/3πr²h

= 1/3*22/7*7/3*7/3*3 = Volume of cone = 17.11

Cones = 11498.66/17.11 = 672 cones
