XX = Girl , XY = Boy

Only Father can choose the sex if the offspring and the sperm cell are father are categorised into X and Y where as ovum of mother only contains X when there is fusion between X sperm and ovum then the offspring is Female,when there is fusion between Y sperm and Ovum then the offspring is Male
