Materialistic goals refer to the attainment of material things. These goals vary from person to person.

Since, there are always extremes in every matter. This is also a matter where some people have material goals to have a home to live in without getting worried about the rent, a job to sustain, a car to travel and food to eat.

On the other hand, some people aim to have all the wealth in the world. They are never satisfied with less. They loose their health, family and friends in the process but all they want is money.

So, yes material goals are important but not at the cost of important non-material things like health, peace of mind, family and friends.
