28. In the Fig., common tangents PQ and RS to two
circles intersect at A. Prove that PQ = RS.

Answer:

since the length of tangents drawn from an exterior point to the circle are equal

Since A is the exterior point

=> PA=AR______ (i)

Also,

AQ=AS________(ii)

Adding (i) and (ii)

PA+AQ=AR+AS

=>PQ=RS

HENCE PROVED
