The p-region of the diode are connected to the ends of the secondary coil.

• When the positive half cycle of input a.c signal flows through the primary coil and induced emf will be there. The working of the diode hear is that one diode will be in forward biased and other diode in reverse biased.
• During the negative half cycle the first diode will be in reverse biased and the second diode is the forward biased.
• The wave will going to be rectified and we get the positive half cycle.
