We are given side of square → 21 cm

As it is a square the angle of sector → 90°

Diameter of quadrant :

D² = 21² + 21²

D = 21√2 cm

Area of shaded region →

→ Area of 4 quadrant - Area of square

\frac{ \pi \times {(21\sqrt{2})}^{2} }{ 4 } - 441

→ 693 - 441

→ 252 cm²

Area of shaded region:

→ Area of circle - Area of 2 semicircle

→ 22/7 × 21 × 21 - 22/7 × 10.5 × 10.5

→ 22 × 3 × 21 - 22 × 1.5 × 10.5

→ 1386 - 346.5

→ 1039.5 m²
