29. Consider a conductor of resistance R, length L, diameter d and resistivity p. The conductor is split
into four equal parts along its diameter.
(a) What will be the resistivity of each part?
(b) What will be the resistance of each part?
(c) How would you connect all the four parts such that the equivalent resistance of the circuit
becomes equal to the resistance of each part?

Answer:

RESISTIVITY WILL REMAIN SAME AS IT DEPENDS ON TEMPERATURE AND NATURE OF CONDUCTOR.

AS IT IS CUT INTO 4 EQUAL PARTS SO NEW L WILL BECOME 1/4th OF PREVIOUS L .SO RESISTANCE WILL BECOME 1/4th OF PREVIOUS RESISTANCE .

ALL THE 4 PIECES WILL BE CONNECTED IN PARALLEL.
